Tonight, Sister Ayoka (Michelle Formey), of Brooklyn, New York achieved the level of Honored Afrikan in Garvey Nation's Buy Black Movement! Honored Afrikan status is awarded to Buy Black Movement Supporters (monthly purchasers) who purchase at least 10,000 points worth of Black-made products, over time, without missing a month.
Sister Ayoka is the 7th Supporter in our history to achieve Honored Afrikan status.
We will be hosting a celebration Zoom call tonight to celebrate her historic achievement.

I love Garvey Nation. I once stated that the Buy Black Movement was akin to the Periodic Chart in that the deeper you go, the deeper it gets. This isn't, simply, a sales gimmick. It is a fully comprehensive Nation complete with a moral dignity the ancestors would be proud.
Total production, total distribution, total consumption loosely defines what is an economy. Factoring Black into the definition, you develop a Black economy. To have established a mechanism that has, since 2015, sold and shipped over 277K Black-made products to over 77K members in 158 countries is a fete of epic proportions. To think that one day there will be tens of millions of Black people buying Black consistently, is mind-blowing.
Now, the Buy Black Movement has become the economic engine driving Garvey Nation! The economic growth potential of this Nation is commensurate to the participation of every Black family on the planet. Incalculable! What was Amazon in '92? Probably a thought or an idea.
In these perilous political times, I see the proliferation of Garvey Nation as the definitive answer to the survival, sovereignty, self-sufficiency of our race.
