Wow this is so powerful. If we could convey this message to all Black people and make them understand the power of having someone control them for over 400 years, the difference this would make in our communities. I think we got the next El Hajj Malik Shabazz and Harriet Tubman in one. Powerful dance move and powerful speech.

A wonderful and powerful example of Black excellence. The shared message is so much needed to give to Black adults who desire to grow and become those who lead, remembering that we must care for ourselves and not depend on another race or nationality.

"The fear is not real...

It is fear that hold us in place, it hold us but it is an illusion it not real. It takes a lot to hold us it place, It took a hold lot to convince us that we are not worthy, that we are no good, and good for nothing. That we are not worthy to love ourselves above all others as all other nations do, and it's okay. But this fear only Black people can solve it.

...No one can tell Black people, how to solve our problems but Black people...

No other nation can help us to solve our problems even if they say they want to help us. They want to help us which has left our community in a very bad shape. We can look into our community to see very clearly the help of other nations. All of the basic economic power within our community is own and operated by others nations and these nations are taking trillions of dollar out of our communities world wide in the name of help.

What stops us is this fear that's unreal, that somebody is going to stop us from doing what we need to do for ourselves and it not real." -Debbie Wilson de Briano

Nobody can stop us, but ourselves. Nobody has that much power over Black people it is all an illusion. We are the most powerful people on the planet and beyond, all we have to do love each other.

No apologies here! In this presentation, Debbie captures the essence of belief, commitment, courage, & determination to be the adult in the room, unafraid to get behind the wheel and drive the family to a better place. It is exciting to be a part of Garvey Nation, the operation that is building a nation of people who are vibrating at this frequency! I am inspired because this is a sign that the future is here! And it is bright, black, & beautiful!

Queen Debbie, thank you for delivering such a soul-stirring message back in 1997. It is ironic that your message still applies today in the year 2024. It is astounding when a strong accomplished Black Woman speaks truth that is fact-based how it can move a Nation in the direction it needs to go in. Thank you again, Queen Debbie.

When Queen Debbie said, "It's strong to be Black!", that caught my eyes and turn them in the back of my head and I heard my eyes ask my brain, "Did she actually just say that?" My ears screamed, "Yes, she did. You heard right! What are you going to do about it? My whole perspective has done a 360 degree turn. This is one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard a Black woman give. It made my whole head tingle. These kinds of speeches are how legends are made! I am proud to call Queen Debbie, my queen of Garvey Nation.

I am riveted by this particular speech, of Deborah Wilson de Briano, because this Queen Mother lays down key reasons why Black people must get over our fears that block us from taking more control over our lives. She further asserts that we have much more power to shape our destinies and ensure that our posterity have a great degree of prosperity! She is speaking from her own set of experiences! Because of that, I feel reassured that once I put my best foot forward, without inhibitions, I’ll accomplish all of my goals! Thank you for that empowering speech, Queen Debbie! Many Black people need to hear every drop of it as well!

This is what it looks like in the mind of a free black woman. In this short clip, Queen Debbie put forth some of the most important realities of our time that we as a people need to consider and address in order to turn this thing around in our favor. She gives solid marching orders for the soul, that fuel the fire and desire of the soldiers on the front lines of this ongoing battle to feel, embrace, and act on in this moment in time, as grown folks, and be decisive as we take responsibility for self and family. This is the kind of Black leadership that makes a difference! It is most definitely Garvey Nation Time!

Queen Debbie you delivered an incredible speech that permeates the systemic brainwashing of slavery. You understand thar we must take responsibility for our own success in this world. We must keep the vision for Black people and take action to overcome our fears to change how we approach our economics presently. This action will definitely cause our future to be different for generations to come. Thank you for your heart for our people and your vision for and toward our economic success!

Very inspirational, especially when white folks are trying to tell you that they don't like what you are trying to do to uplift your people , and they are doing the same for their own people. They won't share with others, because they want to be the dominant race and keep you down. That is why the world is the way it is now, with all this division, that not right.
