So very well put! To receive cash reparations without an internal infrastructure would be to effectively toss the cash out the window. It is imperative to develop an internal infrastructure to that we might circulate our dollars within a host of vertically integrated businesses inside of our community.

I appreciate how the Dr. prioritizes that which must be prepared, making cash LAST for reasons of its intrinsic value. More focus is placed on commodities and commercial infrastructure.

As stated, we need to build our internal infrastructure. We also need to understand and know who really will benefit from reparations and how that will affect us. I had not considered those things. I am happy to have heard Dr. Umar's clip. Yes, definitely something to take notice of and not put the cart before the horse as Dr. Umar said.

Dr Umar!

You are on point! Our habits must change. We have to deal with our internal consciousness.. Focus on commodities, wealth and assets!

Dr. Umar is absolutely on point right here! The benefits of our enslavement to this country, and beyond, can NEVER run out! Reparations, in terms of only putting cash into our hands, is a sick joke! I’m all for those commodities and benefits that he speaks of as well as Black people getting our current spending habits under control. We must begin to pay ourselves for all of the goods and services that we need!

Well said Dr. Umar! That was beautifully illustrated! This reminds me of a time when I stopped at a traffic light and just happened to roll up on an old dear friend at the bus stop. His personal hygiene and disposition spoke volumes about where he was mentally at that time. He was homeless and had all of the characteristics traditionally associated with a crackhead. He asked me for some money, and I gave it to him. But I thought about it, and told him to get in the car, because I felt like I knew what he was going to do with that money. That ended well because we got him cleaned up and back on track. But it just doesn’t make any sense to give meaningful substance to a people who are worth trillions of dollars, but obviously have a substance abuse problem that causes them to choose a lifestyle of poverty. We need to clean up our act first! Thank goodness for Garvey Nation, providing that very service in our time of need!

This is the very reason why we must create our own reparations. We have 2 trillion dollars already, let build our nation, start at the foundation and build step by step! Garvey Nation! If the white colonizers do the right thing and pay what they own us. I will be the first in line, however my hope is not in their reparations for us, but my hope is in Black people doing for self like we always do.

💯 percent powerful and true. Internal consciousness versus external glory. You must be reprogram. Our thinking regarding reparations need to be changed internally first in order to receive the benefits of reparations once received. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. To not reprogram our spending habits before reparations. We will have the same results after relations or when reparations come. Your spending habits need to change as a Race with the 1.6 trillion you already have. If not the 1.6 plus you receive will not make a difference.

I had not thought about commodity, wealth and assets. Those things will never run out. But cash will. That makes so much sense. What he said in this video has changed my perspective to look at reparations from a another dimension. Wow!

Thank you Brothers & Sisters for your on point comments. Dr. Umar Johnson hit the nail right on the head. We must first have an economic foundation within our Race to generate and recycle our dollars before we can be concerned about reparations. This is the very premise that Garvey Nation was founded on; creating our own products and spending our money with our People.

I love the idea of internal reparations first. We will definitely need to know how this transpires. Because truly there is nothing free in life. There will be something attached to reparations. White folk always have “gotcha” for every “gimme” (handout). I totally agree with everything that Bro. Umar Johnson has said. We don’t want any trickery. We have to move wisely so that the reparations don’t expire. But that they continuously compound in dollar amount.

All money ain’t good money.

Thank you Brother Delxino and whenever I hear folks speak about reparations it most Definitely has been about the cash and not ways to spend it and grow it within Our communities, from now on I will ask people when they speak on it if they have also considered ways it can be used to help build with it , if it should become a reality

Say it brother Umar! I agree that financial literacy counseling must precede reparations . I too agree that we would benefit more from assets, ie, land reparations, , tax-free citizenship .Post-traumatic slave syndrome counseling is a tmust in order for our race to move foward.

Awesome Brother Robert "One of the Biggest problems with current day Black folk,"...

Working on ourselves, with ourselves and only by ourselves can fixes these problems

What an excellent, brilliant, breakdown of reparations by Brother Dr. Umar Johnson. Especially, working internally upon ourselves first. We have others nations, others races, and those of our own races looking for reparations not for Black people, but for themselves. As my brother, we have our reparation already, its (1.8 trillion).

Astronomical!!!

Preach, Teach, brotha Dr. Umar Johnson!

That brotha there is another modern day Messenger for our People. He speaks our language.

One of the Biggest problems with current day Black folk, are being descendance of our ancestors, who were wiped, raped, robbed, stripped of our birthright, religion, of self....Which leads towards, doing nothing to better oneself, Procrastination, low self worth....

Dr. Umar is head-on Bullseye, with the fact of internal reparations. Once this is accomplished, (the way we're building in "Garvey Nation" daily, then we're in a better position to Dominate, Control, Build, Protect...Our wealth, as it continuously flows in.

Another Big Factor, we make the mistake of falling into that Generational Trap of waiting for Reparations.

Let's actively wait, with very little attention on reparations, & build into Millions of likeminded Black individuals, consistently spending with other Beautiful Black people. Then we're back on track, doing what a lot of our Great ancestors were doing, via Building Wealth, creating, Dominating....

Infinity Thanx to King Delxino, & Queen Deborah, for their resilience towards uplifting our Black people. You're modern-day Messengers towards our Black people as well.
